Earlier this month Stadler invited members of the Rock Rail East Anglia team and board of directors to the Stadler testing facility at Erlen in Switzerland. The Rock Rail team were given a warm Swiss welcome and a tour of the Stadler assembly hall where the vehicles for the Greater Anglia franchise are undergoing testing.
Rock Rail were very impressed by the facilities and the progress that has been made by Stadler. The twenty 12-car intercity electric multiple units and thirty-eight regional bi-mode multiple units in both 3-car and 4-car configurations will be delivered into service from late 2019, providing an increase in passenger capacity of up to 79% on key routes and significantly enhancing the passenger experience for the people of Norfolk and Suffolk.
