1 mile, 300 swimmers and over £40,000 raised for Marie Curie sees the Padstow to Rock Swim draw to a close for another successful year with Rock Rail as proud sponsors. Among the 300 brave souls were 5 members of the Rock Team who were all able to complete the challenge within the hour time limit as well as generating an individual fundraising effort further contributing towards Marie Curie’s great cause.
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity and on a daily basis continues to provide frontline nursing and hospice care, a free support line offering a wealth of information as well as support on all aspects of dying, death and bereavement. The Padstow to Rock Swim is just one of many fundraising events which offers the opportunity to help support the work of Marie Curie in providing care to the most vulnerable of individuals.
As a non-profit company, Marie Curie is reliant on the generosity of the public and therefore Rock would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to all of those who chose to donate on behalf of our efforts and who have helped to support such a wonderful organisation.
Despite a choppy sea and a face-to-face jellyfish confrontation, Rock Rail are already looking forward to returning next year for more sun, sea and Cornish pasties!
