Rock was delighted to sponsor the Rock Oyster Festival which is held each year near Rock in Cornwall. The festival brings the local community and music fans from across the country together to celebrate a weekend of musical talent and to support many local Cornish charities at the same time.
When Rock’s founder Mark Swindell set Rock up in 2011, he chose to name his company after the small Cornish village which he holds so dear and where he spends much of his spare time.
Many of Rock’s existing projects have focussed on delivering better travelling experiences for the public, including the delivery of new state of the art trains across three UK rail franchises and its work on the successful construction and opening of the Mersey Gateway bridge. Rock was therefore particularly pleased to be sponsor the ‘Rock Road’ – a temporary road providing festival goers with easy and safe access to and from the Rock Oyster Festival site.
