Rock Rail is proud to be sponsoring the Community Rail Network’s Community Rail Awards again this year. The awards are held each year to recognise and celebrate the tremendous achievements of the many individuals, groups and organisations in benefiting their communities and local railways.

Rock is sponsoring the ‘Best Community Engagement’ 2020 Award’s category which seeks to highlight the initiative, enthusiasm and work that goes into developing, organising and promoting community engagement projects on the railway.

The Community Rail Network plays a vital role supporting community rail groups in stimulating growth and shaping the UK rail industry to better serve communities across the country. Community rail groups across the country work alongside local, regional and national partners to support social inclusion, community wellbeing and economic development, and to promote rail as a key part of sustainable, healthy travel.

The Community Rail Network holds the Community Rail Awards annually and as well as recognising the efforts of all those involved in community rail the event provides an opportunity to share and promote good practice from across the country.
